At Lemon Tree we are purposeful in our play, community, and outreach.

THE LEMON TREE APPROACH

We are proud to offer a variety of programs for both little ones and grown-ups. Through partnering with providers in our neighborhood, we’ve created a local network of experts (including musicians, yoga instructors, physicians, and more) who help to enrich our programming and our community.

Our space provides a welcoming, safe, and creative environment for little ones and their grown-ups to grow, play and connect. Our classrooms are intentionally designed with age-appropriate materials and defined play areas, creating an enriching experience for children and their caregivers to work on developmental areas together.

MORNING PLAYGROUP

Membership Based

Children and their caregivers engage in a morning of purposeful play, circle time, and socialization.  With 5, 3, and 2 day a week memberships, each family can find the option that works best for them. Each membership includes a variety of music or movement classes each week.

AFTERNOON OPEN PLAY

Drop-In Options

As our most flexible program, Open Play allows you to take advantage of our play space and thoughtfully designed classrooms, but without the structure of the morning playgroup.  Options include single visits or a pack of passes.

NEW MOM'S GROUP

6 Week Sessions

This intimate, neighborhood-based group is led by a Postpartum Doula and is limited to 6 mamas per session. Our goal is to connect you with a local network of moms and experts, while also providing an opportunity to learn from and support each other.

OUR STORY

In 2014, two local moms longed for a place for their little ones to play and learn in their 14th Street neighborhood. When they were unable to find such a place in the area, Lemon Tree was created.

We planted roots with seven neighborhood families. Since then, we have seen the needs of the neighborhood grow and are continually expanding our programming to meet them.  With backgrounds in education and child development, Whitney and Sarah took over as co-owners in 2016 and have used their knowledge and professional experiences to connect with hundreds of families at Lemon Tree.

We aim to be not only a place to play, but a resource for the community, offering enriching programs for parents and children alike.
